baby's first winter

so it's been a while since i've posted. i've gotten lazy. can i even say gotten? i've kinda been that way for a while, or forever, take your pick. anywho, so have i done anything worth posting about? i mean, my life is soooo exciting! i hang out with famous people everyday and drink krissy every night til 8 in the morning! or i watch a lot of buffy in my bed. six of one, half dozen of the other.
well, it snowed a couple times. i got my first taste of winter. it's pretty magical. i'm new to this whole snow thing so it's pretty awesome. man, i've seen snow before, but my mind is still blown by just seeing it around. ever wonder how people dealt with completely new experiences before film and the internet and phones? i do.

that said, i now completely understand why winter's a bitch, ice. ice pretty much blows. i drunkenly decided to walk home 2 and a half miles from brian, linzy, and jon's christmas party the other night. an hour and 7ish wipe-outs later, i arrived semi-safely home. man, that was not worth the ten bucks a taxi would have been. sometimes it pisses me off how i refuse to learn things vicariously. i seem to be stubborn at all the wrong times. ah well, now i know, right?

i gave up my shift at work tonight because i'm a push over. (i should work on that, too.) so i've decided i absolutely cannot stay in tonight just to surf the internet and watch some more buffy and still go to bed at 2 am. but fuck, it's raining, please don't get below freezing, chicago, please? i'll bake you cookies? i'll make you a snow man? well, i should leave the house, before i come up with a lame excuse not to. much love to you all, and if you're in georgia, i'll be seeing you soon.
