being productive, vaguely

today was my day off. my manager did call me, but i didn't hear the phone so i was saved being a martyr and going in.

• i got my driver's license today!
• i actually got nervous taking the written exam. i don't know the legal consequences of a dui, for example. but then i remembered the answer is always "all of the above."
  
• when i got my photo taken the guy told me i was a georgia peach. it's official.
  
• i am legally a redhead.
• started reading burn collector again.
• i didn't get that into it when i read it before, but it seems really apt right now.
• he keeps talking about anticipation being better than pay-off. that's a pretty big reason i'm really digging on life right now. there's so much potential.
• went to the art institute again for no other reason than i'm rarely downtown.
• there's a jasper johns exhibit about his use of gray throughout his career.
• my mind was blown. i have a tremendous amount of respect for him so it was awesome to see such an extensive collection of his works.
• you could spend months in that museum and not see everything.
• it made me wish for talent, a muse, and copious amount of money to bequeath to the arts. for now i'll stick to knitting, with the occasional foray into screenprinting.

in other news, i totally unpacked all my shit. it makes me feel so much more stable. i haven't finished putting pictures and art on my walls, and i haven't bought much needed drapes, but in time, in time.

also, i'll be home for my birthday and thanksgiving. i'll be rad to the max. ya heard.
