new year's, y'all!

so this is the first year that new year's has ever really meant anything to me. normally it's more of the "this year i'm not gonna eat chips" variety. this is the first time that i think a new year has coincided with some sort of change in myself and my surroundings. i've finally settled into chicago and i finally consider it home. so time to make some resolutions, right? only feasible, concrete resolutions. nothing far-fetched like "kick my internet addiction." baby steps. here goes.

  • take glass blowing class(es)
  • take trapeze class(es)
  • buy boots (okay, that's not really a resolution so much as something i really need to do)
  • write in my actual journal at least once a week (something of substance)
  • finish a book at least once every two weeks
  • print out digital pictures
  • assemble said pictures into a photo album
  • stop spending any two consecutive hours online, unless doing something of import, which i never am.
  • get bike
  • ride bike, despite numbing cold
  • don't ride bike drunk (for realzies)
  • stop saying for realzies
  • screenprint
  • write more letters
  • call people
  • travel
  • keep room clean
  • stop gorging around free food
  • go on dates
  • go to more concerts
  • use (if possible, exclusively) reusable shopping bags
  • forget the haters
that's good for now. i think i can do all that. you should make some, too. we can be each others motivation. it could be fun. love you lots.
