so i keep starting posts but not finishing them. i should go to bed, but i just don't want to. maybe this time i'll finish my post.
my life:
- working
- it's awesome.
- i really like my coworkers. i was worried about fitting in, or rather staying in my shell and not making friends. if anything i've done the opposite: i've been really loud. i think i scare my manager a little. i might scare him more than a little. he didn't realize what i meant when i told him in my interview that i'm loud and obnoxious. he does now.
- it's making me think about my vegetarianism. i'm not sure where i stand anymore. i've just kind of been doing it out of habit. i think working at the diner will make me make a stronger stand one way or the other.
- must behave, must behave, must not earn a reputation this early, must behave.
- playing
- saw my coworker's band. they rocked. check 'em out: scotland yard gospel choir. the openers included the magician that used to open for bozo the clown, and a performance art piece which involved two chicks reenacting a light saber fight. it was a great show.
- been exploring a little. cemeteries fascinate me. i want to know all about the people, who they were, what they did, especially the gravestones that are worn down with age or just state "mutter" or "j.b.s." i suppose i should take the guided tour, but to me cemeteries are so personal. plus, for most of the people, i prefer the stories in my head to the reality.
- been slacking off on my knitting and my online scrabble, but i think once i get a little more rhythm to my life, i'll get back to them.
- been watching a lot of the prisoner, a british drama from the late sixties. if you like david lynch, you need to check it out. the more i watch, the more i want to watch, and the less i understand.
- it's my sister's birthday tomorrow. or rather today. i need to get her something super awesome when i get off work.
- taking taxis, while expensive, makes me feel really adult and cosmopolitan in a very juvenile sort of way. i think that's the product of growing up in the suburbs.
- keepin' in touch
- got your postcard, fran! i just got some fresh baked goods, i have no clue what state they'll get to in, but the us post will see them shortly.
- got to talk to helen on skype for an hour. an ammmaaaazing hour. since i have video but she doesn't, she got to see me, but i forgot that she could. that led to some incriminating facial expressions. i'm working on a mix for ya, girl.
- if you want to call me, i'd love to talk, and i assure you there will be giggling.
